Working Together to Change Lives

​

       As dawn breaks in Bangalore, India, Ayesha rises to go to work. A  typical workday for Ayesha lasts over 9 hours. She eats no lunch because there is not enough food at home for her to bring.  At work, her employer berates her constantly and gives her no breaks during the day. Nonetheless, Ayesha will not quit. Jobs are scarce in Bangalore; India and she is the sole provider for her elderly grandmother and crippled sister. The three live in a shed with no plumbing and one small window for air. At night, the rats come in through the window and bite their fingers and toes. Ayesha is 9 years old and dreams of going to school. 

       Churches in India and the United States are working in partnership to see Ayesha's dream come true. A local church is helping to meet the family's basic needs.  In addition, we were able to coordinate with donors who funded an operation for Ayesha' sister, who is now able to walk for the first time in her life. Both girls are going to school. Through the strategy of outreach partnerships, this family has been lifted from poverty and given hope.

       We have all been given unique talents from God. Your abilities may be computer skills, music, carpentry, sewing, mechanics, writing, or speaking English.  Living Faith Ministries International  matches the gifts of volunteers with the needs of international churches and communities.
